Bollywood Quiz


  1. He has essayed major parts in films about a royal court singer, a blind singer and a street singer. He has also given playback for these three roles. Who is he?
  2. This script writer didn’t write this film where Amitabh Bachchan played a small, yet powerful role. But strangely, Amitabh’s character was named after his father. Who is the script writer and which is the film I am referring to?

    1. KL Saigal. Kundan Lal Saigal worked in Tansen, Bhakt Surdas and Street Singer

    2. The script writer is Javed Akhtar. Amitabh Bachchan played a small, yet powerful role in the movie Andha Kanoon where he was called Jaan Nissar Akhtar Khan

    3. They all played Chunnilal/ Chunni Babu in the Hindi and Bengali versions of Devdas

    4. The on screen name: Raj Malhotra. SRK in the hugely successful Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge and Amitabh in Baghban played this character. Interestingly Akshay Kumar was called Raj Malhotra in Khiladi, Haan maine bhi pyaar kiya, Andaz and Aitraaz. The name is now done to death and rarely used in today’s films…. Why were all Punjus in films called Malhotra though?
